3 Gun Fun

Lets say for some reason you could only keep 3 handguns which had to meet all of your needs including HD, CCW, Range etc.

What 3 do you want?

(I love these threads)

Mine are:
1)HK45c-45
2)HK P30-9mm
3)HK P2000-40s&w

(Apparently, i have been on a HK kick lately)

I would get a nice holster for all three and load up the hk45c with a 10 rounder for night stand duty.

Have fun guys,

just one, my Walther P99 .40

For me it would be:

1. Series 70 Colt Government in .45 Auto; hopefully the example I had built up for me. Can do most anything I could ask a handgun to do quite well (and for a long time) including CCW/home defense/target shooting.

2. Glock 19. Also able to do most anything I want it to, and is probably one of the best carry guns I've ever owned to boot.

3. Probably a S&W model 686 .357 or a model 29 .44 mag for woods use. I might be tempted to go with a 642 instead though, it just depends.

I'd keep my S&W 686, 6-inch L-frame stainless .357 Mag. Or I'd swap it for a four inch version. With this, I'd have a most versatile handgun with regards to power/ammo/accuracy/hunting/protection/target/fun/practice/big boom, etc.

I'd keep my G29 for carry.

I'd keep my Ruger Mark II, stainless bull barrel for rimfire, and probably the bulk of my shooting.

I -HATE- the idea of being forced down to three handguns for any reason. :(

Not a fair question. Don't want to have to pick favorites, but if I did:

1) Dan Wesson CBOB .45 ACP
2) CZ PCR 9mm
3) Colt Series 80 Mark IV .45ACP

Accessories don't count---right?

A good 1911 5" 45, with a 22 conversion kit
A 4" 6 shot 357 magnum. Probably a N frame, maybe a K.
A Glock 19 with a 22 conversion kit

I could probably end my list with just one: G19. But if I need two more (which I don't have actually) I'll say a Kahr PM9 for a pocket pistol, and a .22 coversion kit for my G19 for cheap plinking.

I hate them. It's like asking which one of my children I love more.
what the heck I'll throw out a couple combos from my safe.
how bout a Seecamp 32,4" GP100 and a 5" springfield loaded for a generic answer.
or a strange IMHO combination Colt Huntsman, H&K P7PSP abd a 7 1/2" Super Blackhawk.
Maybe a really versatile S&W combo 340M&P,1076 and a 3" 29.

A really good 1911 with a 22lr conversion kit
My Ruger p95
My grandfathers JP Sauer and Sohn Western Marshall Hawes s/a .357 magnum (its the one gun I will never get rid of)

Ruger Redhawk (.44)

Glock 22 (.40)

Performance Center 327 (.357)

I hate these threads too. How am I going to explain to my 226 or my Mark II that they didn't make the cut?

My three would be

1. Beretta PX4 9mm
2. Browning Buckmark 22LR
3. S&W 64-3 38 Special

If I could keep one more it would be my Kahr P9 in 9mm. :)

thank god I don't have kids.

best I can do is.

one of my .45's
one of my 9mm's
and a .357

and a .22 kit for either the 9mm or .45

1) Colt 1911 Commander .45 acp
2) S&W M-642 .38 spl +P or Kahr PM9 9mm (can't decide between these)
3) S&W M-17 6" .22 lr

I think I could survive with just these 3 pistols. :)
