.270...stainless...w/ a 24" barrel

Savage is one of the most accurate rifles this and last year out of the box and the last letter on the description denotes if it's a mc millian stock a h.s . persisicion stock a B&C stock or a accustock which is as strong but not attractive as the other three you will be able to change barrels with a wrench no gunsmith or head spacing you could have 5 calibers and a mc millian stock timney trigger over time for 1600 savage is the most in proved dramatically rifle company any where I bet they are the best bang for your buck 300 win mag for long distance 22-250 varmint 308 etc all changed in half an hour I don't have one yet but I'm getting one and a couple of calibers too I own 27 firearms now all new in ten years I look for a good versatile gun there is none more than this !!! I love my h.s . persisicion that's on my 5R M24 M40 sniper rifle borrowed from the army mine is a 10th anniversary edition of the 308 I looked it up and it's made of fiberglass kevlar and Styrofoam the kevlar is why mine is 900 dollars to replace the M24 308 is only 1200 my option is without the kevlar price has persisicion is the best it military grade one more thing if you like the style of the gun your buying take the timney out the stock off optics off put the mint shape originals back on it will look new

I've made all of my decisions and purchases. Thanks everyone for all the advice and good conversation. I'll post another thread after I get it all together and get a load worked up.
