25ACP pistols: reviews needed

Oktagon,

The Colt .25 made in Spain around the late 60's is really an Astra Cub in .25 instead of .22. It has an exposed hammer and a trigger blocking safety. But the original 1908 Colt VP is striker fired and has a safety at the left rear of the frame that locks the sear.

There are also apples and oranges in the Browning guns. The early one was almost identical to the early Colt. It was often called the Baby Browning, but that name was also given to the totally different post war pistol. So when discussing these little guns, a lot of confusion can result.

Mr. Keenan is correct concerning the Browning (made by FN) of 1906 (the triple safety), the Colt was introduced on the same patent in 1908 (I believe), which adds to the confusion. The pistol most commonly known to most of us as the Browning "Baby" was introduced in 1931 (in Europe).

Get the Jetfire... it's such a classic little pistol. Totally reliable too. You'll like it... I promise :)
