243 Brass to 260

I think Midway and Acadamy sports gets my money quicker than I do. Lol. The 243 conversion was simple. I just used a little too much imperial wax thinking it would need more lube and it dimpled a few necks. Fired formed perfect though. They weren't short like I thought they would be. Had to trim all of them. Worked great.

One time when I was fire forming in the garage, the neighbor 250yd away heard it and thought I was shooting a gun - all was ok when I told him what I was doing so I made a silencer chamber out of an old steel motorcycle muffler with a rubber inner tube sleeve to stick the muzzle through. I was using about 12gr of unique, dryer sheet filler and a soap plug. the first shot was real quiet but it blew a hole thru the metal baffles in the muffler- showed me how much power that little load had... stay safe.

There's no need to fire form 243 brass to 260. Lube the inside of the necks, and run it through a 6.5mm expander ball. If you get a donut inside the bottom of the neck, buy an inside 6.5mm neck reamer bit and ream the necks out.
Every case that I shoot out of my 260 AR is resized 243 brass, never had any issues, and I use Winchester brass for mine.

Resize,load it up,and shoot it!

I didn't have to fire form it. Brass sized and fit perfect. It's loaded and ready for its next range session. Used real light film of Unique sizing lube and no dimples in neck either.

I have a tikka lite in .260 remington as a hunting rifle. Kept losing too much expensive remington and lapua brass in the heat of the moment while hunting. These days, I only use .243 brass that I have necked up for hunting. Everytime I find .243 brass at the range, I FLR it in the .260 dies and then fire it at the range. Then I use that brass as my hunting ammo. I've built up a collection and I don't care if I lose it while hunting. Works fine and the tikka is always extremely accurate.

What is twist rate on the T 3 lite. I wouldn't mi d having another one without the 10 round magazine in my way for hunting. I had to buy a shorter Uncle Buds bull bag to have a more so,I'd rest at the bench. I've got other bags and rests but Uncle Buds is my favorite.

I think 140gr projectiles are where it's at for .260 remington. Had great success with Nosler Accubond 140gr and Hornady Amax 140gr. Didn't notice much difference on game between the 2. Of course the tikka is so light, so accurate and so mild recoiling that it is easy to shoot well.

Bought several boxes of speer hotcor 140gr (since they were cheap) but haven't loaded or tested them yet.
