There's really no rational reason that a .22LR chambered double action revolver really should be priced lower from the same maker as their .38/.357 offerings. It takes the same materials (if the frame size is -- it takes slightly MORE material for the .22LR) and it takes the same process to manufacture them.
If anything, you could make an argument that the .22 version should cost more than a .38/.357 from the same company, when you consider the economy of scale. Far more .38/.357's are being made & sold.
