.22 thoughts...

Any Ruger .22lr platform: preferably mkll- .....but I do love my Mklll 22/45

Oh...there is no doubt about that microman. .22's just don't do it for me as much at the range as a bigger centerfire, but to be able to shoot so much for such a fraction of the cost is fantastic. I took it to the range the other day and blew through 250 rounds. That probably was about $12 bucks or so. At best, that would have been about $60 for 9mm's, or about $90 or 45acp. Big difference.
 
12 dollars for 250 rounds were you shooting match grade?

Match grade ammo will easily cost 8-12 dollars per 50 round box... Not kidding you. Look up Wolf Match, Fiocchi SM, Lapua, etc.


For plinking though, I get bulk CCI Blazers when getting .22lr.
Last local gun show I bought 5000 rounds for 175.00 including tax...- thats 3 cents a round. Or around 16 bucks a brick.

I've no shame in thriftyness:)

Sorry, I suppose I was guestimating. Since then, I bought a 550rd box at WalMart for about $19. I'm sure I could work at it a bit more and get a much better price.
