I've always liked the original version a little better. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. :) Yum.

As I said earlier, use whatever works for you, but there is a meaningful difference. Leupold will even set parallax for a specific distance, say 200 or 239 or 300 yards for a varmint hunter who knows how long his average shots are during a day's shooting. I don't recall the price.

That's all I have to say about copping an attitude.

As far as numbers, what's the error at 100 yards with a 150 yard parallax? Two tenths of an inch maybe? The OP wants to know if his 4x scope will work on a .22 rifle and the answer to that question is "yes".
 
I use AO scopes on .22 LR firearms. I shoot them from 10 yards to 110 yards and the variable AO bushnell I have works great for me. I like AO scopes on centerfires also but only have one of them. Most posters here strive for accuracy and the AO does help with that.
