The speed strip (or quick strip as Tuff Products calls them) would seem like the most logical choice to me as it's easily carried but less awkward than loose cartridges. In my experience, the outside-lubricated bullet of a .22 Long Rifle is not conducive to dropping cleanly into the cylinder and often needs to be manually pushed all the way in. I've found that a the HKS speedloader I have for my H&R Model 999 Sportsman isn't nearly as "speedy" as those for larger caliber revolvers due to the need to manually push the cartridges into the chambers before the action can be closed. Also, lining up all those small chambers at the same time is easier said than done and a .22 speedloader is probably the most difficult type to use quickly. For this reason, I'm not entirely convinced that a speed strip/quick strip would be substantially slower or more difficult to use as it may allow the cartridges to be more fully inserted before the strip is removed and lining up two cartridges at a time would undoubtedly be easier than eight.
