.22 lr or .25ACP: Can they be reliable backup calibers?

I have indeed chronographed Winchester 240gr JSP rounds through my Bond. Velocities were between 1078 - 1100fps. There are others on other sites that have gotten similar velocities.

I dress professionally. I wear suits and ties. I do not in any way shape or form care to adjust my mode of dress or worry about whether or not I can take of my suit coat, shake hands with someone, worry about how I sit, worry about anything other than focusing on my responsibilities at work. I do not think about my little case pocket knife at work and how it might be exposed, I am not going to worry about my gun either. It has to fit into my normal life or it won't get carried.

The little .25 serves my purposes just fine. All about perspective and mindset folks. A bigger gun won't save you if you can't shoot, are paralyzed with fear, etc. etc. etc. Lot's more important things to think about than just the tool.

Can they be backup calibers? Yes. Reliable backup calibers? No. It's like one of those little spare tires they have nowadays. You can only go 30 MPH to someplace where they can fix your real tire. But it doesn't take up much room in your trunk.

I'd have no problem carrying my colt vest pocket model 25 acp it's very reliable but I have a hard time justifying it when I own a seecamp 32.I know a seecamp is a little bigger than the baby browning, but not much.
