No, it's coming from someone who has a pretty good knowledge of firing pins and how they work.
Because they fit the chamber does not mean they cushion the firing pin adequately.
Same deal with centerfire calibers that people glue a piece of rubber in the primer pocket. Might as well just dry fire.
