20 illegals found in van. ICE says, "Let them all go"

let them all go?then they are also part of the problem.if its 21 in the van, it shouldnt make any difference..are they going to start limiting illegals in vans to get a free ride?multiple trips with no more than 20 in a van to skirt the law?

If it were me, id probably get fired the first day for having some stones to stand up against it.Its getting easier to see where it is going and what is being done about it...and those responsable and why they are doing this stuff.

I suppose when actions like these eventually affect even those that are aiding the entire situation to continue, they may open their eyes...but then it will be kinda too late for everyone else.

"Also these were all felony use of fraudulent document being used in attempts to access federal property/military installations".

whats missing here??

The numbers of illegals are overwhelming because of the slack border policies...
Well, Ohio isn't on the border. I'm not sure where the nearest ICE station is located in the Midwest, but I've heard of illegal aliens being released because there weren't agents that could get there to take custody in a timely manner (ie before the local LEO got frustrated and let them go).

What was preventing the local LEO from keeping them in his own facility until ICE showed up?

INS wasn't going to show up.... period. They said, point blank, that they weren't interested, and wouldn't take them. Once it's established by any agency that they will not extradite, the persons involved, whether they be illegal aliens or wanted felons, must be released then and there.

The only frustration by local LEO's is caused by INS completely ignoring the situation. If they say they'll extradite, we'll hold 'em for days if need be. I'd say that qualifies as a "timely manner".

We don't have to "reform" our immigration laws. The ones we have now are fine - but we don't obey them

I think you mean we don't enforcethem. It's the illegal wha aren't doing teh "obey" part. Until we find a way to put the politicians & bureaucrats balls in a vise and make them enforce the laws, this won't change.:barf:

Vote the b@stards out in November

"we must remember that the vast majority of illegal immigrants are decent people who work hard, support their families, practice their faith, and lead responsible lives. They are a part of American life,
You can't, in all honesty, blame the intruders for coming here...
With our liberal border policies... They feel "invited"... if not "welcomed".
