20 Gauge Ruger Over and under shotgun

Whatever they weren't, they were stylish....I always thougt very handsome guns. When they fist came out in the early 80's, I passed on one for $485, and have always regretted it.

Despite Ruger's claims of making durable guns, the Red Label does indeed have a bad rep. Some friends run a stock fitting business all over the SE for the claybird set, and the comments on the R/L are all the same. I don't think Ol'Man Ruger gave any thought to the pounding one might take from a heavy claybird shooter.

For me, as a field gun, it might have held up for a long time.
