.20 gauge good enough for quail?

I shoot a 20 gauge at everything, trap, skeet, quail, pheasant you name it. I done so for years. The reason is I have a spinal disease that only allows me to shoot a low recoil gun. I went thru all the light load 12 gauge stuff and none of it compares to the light recoil of a 20. Proof Is I can shoot 100 clay birds a time out at the range. With a 12 ga. after 2 rounds 50 birds, I'd have trouble walking the next day. To those guys that say a 12gauge has less recoil than a 20 gauge, I say bullcrap

For your lady get a nice 20 gauge and she'll love it. Take her to a skeet and trap range and let her learn to shoot with it. Let her shoot regular trap 2.75 shells with 7/8 ounce of shot. When she gets good with it on the range, take her quail hunting. Have her shoot 1 ounce loads, more shot bigger pattern, on quail. I do it all the time. The bird results are good and they learn to enjoy hunting.
