2 Rugers or 1 H&K

From what I can tell, no one has considered the big plus with buying the two Rugers. You're getting a gun for your wife! Does you wife shoot? Does she like the Ruger 9mm? (some women can't handle the trigger) If she likes it, then there's no contest. You see, it's really an investment. When you get your wife a gun she likes, you immediately double your defensive force if the poop hits the fan. Also, you open the door to more firearms purchases in the future because she likes guns too. If she already shoots, then she gets something out of the deal, and is more open to more deals later on! Gotta think about these things. Buy the Rugers, and plan to unwrap a H&K (if that's what you want) when Christmas rolls around. ;)

I agree 100% with Front Sight. My wife is also a shooter although she likes revolvers ("they don't jam.") If something bad happens, a bad guy just might ambush you, or get lucky with that one shot and punch you right between the headlights, and if you only have one gun, then what's your wife to do?

I always told my wife that, and said, no matter what might happen to me, you can still protect yourself if you have your own gun. She agrees.

Buy 'em both and make sure your wife practices, and both you practice to clear malfunctions. Any semi-auto can jam at the most inopportune time. JMHO. J.B.
