I also heard about this on the nightly news. The Mongol's even hire PIs to investigate new members to see if they are police officers, but this guy slipped through.

Motorcycle Gang Target of Raid

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Federal agents across the nation raided the homes of members of a motorcycle gang Friday, arresting more than two dozen people and confiscating firearms, drugs and thousands of dollars.

Members of the Mongols were arrested in Pasadena, San Diego, Porterville and Frazier Park, as well as cities in Georgia and Oklahoma, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

The case was cracked after an ATF agent infiltrated the motorcycle gang and spent two years as a member.

``Our undercover agent put himself at great and prolonged peril to develop evidence of murder, weapons and narcotics violations and other serious crimes,'' said ATF Los Angeles Division Director Donald R. Kincaid.

The ATF said at least 29 Mongols were arrested in connection with violent crimes, including murder. Seventy firearms, 10 pounds of narcotics, 21 stolen motorcycles and more than $27,000 cash were seized.

The Mongols were formed in the early 1970s in Southern California. Officers say the organization has about 200 members and 21 chapters nationwide.

He probably couldn't avoid it. Remember, "the ends justify the means" is a way of life for these Constitution wreckers.

I sure don't abide by the gang's shenanigans and law-breaking, I just wish organizations like the BATF could discern between the Mongols and us! They clearly can't.

Wow, some real law enforcement work by the ATF against real bad guys and not just your ordinary firearms enthusiast. It's about time and the agent should be commended.

Remember, these mongols, while not mainstream dudes, were caught with guns, drugs and money.

Possession of money isn't illegal. Under the second, should possession of guns be illegal? And is prohibition of drugs really legal? People who want to destroy themselves get drugs anyway, the drug war is just to justify kicking in doors and to keep dope dealers rich by inflating drug prices.

Battler.

I don't like the fact that guns are mentioned in the same tone as murder and stolen bikes. I wishy washy about the drugs. Feds do not have the power under the constitution to regulate drugs. However, this officer should be commended for his work in helping to put a few Murder's behind bars. All of us need to look at both sides of the BATF. Not all are rotten. Thanks for sharing the good side of the BATF. I know these are far and few inbetween, but like the news media nullifying guns, the BATF often gets the same treatment.

Don't worry... they will undoubtably pleabargan most of this down and very little if anything will come of this.

I sure would not want to be that ATF agent.Methinks he better take out a big life insurance policy and run.

The problem with this is that there was much more to it than just alcohol, tobacco, or firearms. This was FBI territory. I think that the FBI and the BATF should be consolidated into one unit ASAP.

No Erick, you didn't miss anything. We're a jaded lot and sarcasm about that group is automatic. Maybe too automatic. The agent probably should get a medal. It does sound like some serious bad guys and community wreckers got stopped. The AGENT may be a hero. The agency can ...

I remember a guy that took some money from me in the third grade. I was abused that day. The next day a guy beat the crap out of him. I was ecstatic. Until HE came and took my pocket knife. Poor analogy? Who would I rather have knock on my door with their usual "mission" in mind? A Mongol? Or a BATF agent? Be careful what you wish for.

Yea, that's an understatement "1%ers are not mainstream dudes"

They are parasites on society, and as such should be taken to ground in every single legal means avalaible to any or all law enforcement agencies.

Local & Federal law enforcement here took down a local chapter of "Sons of Silence" here about two years ago. They sent several members into the federal pen for long terms, and one of thier chapters = national vice president got = life.[ :)] Charges included = Rico violations, Interstate transportation of narcotics, felons in possession of firearms, etc....

Parasites heh? What say about the billions the Federal Cops spend each year? I know of no motorcycle club getting tax dollars. As I recall, the Fed Cops were brought into being during prohibition to eliminate the budding Sicilian/Jewish Mobs. They totally failed and here it is 80yrs later and they're best talent is killing Americans. I'll give odds that our cops kill more citizens than any motorcycle club. Our current President is responsible for the deaths of women and children yet no LEO has yet arrested him. Federal agencies misplace/lose tons of drugs each year, where ya think it goes?? Ollie North delt drugs on a massive scale yet he's a hero, the war on drugs is simply assuring the monopoly on distibution.

I think the ATF did a fine job here.
We have some grievences with them, but if all we do is put down everything they do, then we will make ourselves their enemy. If they are doing what they are supposed to be doing: putting bad guys away, then they are to be congratulated.

wow!a national crime organization with a whole 10lbs of dope and a whopping $27,000
cash total!!I have seen more dope than that in a college dormitory and I have that much money in my checking account right now.Two years for that? What a joke!A big deal about 10lbs of dope when "Billy Boy" has smuggled metric tons through Mena Arkanasas but I can't blame them for trying to eliminate the competition it's just good business after all. ;)

I'll bet that undercover agent did tons of doping, whoring and stealing while he was "undercover"and I'll just bet that his salary
for this whole deal was way more than $27,000
(in addition to all of the ill gotten loot he probably has stashed on the sly).

Yea, thats just what they caught these skummers with this time. Who knows how much poison the've fostered onto children, and others ruining lifes, murdering folks along the way, just a bunch of happy campers.... :)

I just love watching people try to defend the indefensible, then when that logic fails; they have to make the L.E.O. into criminals.... to make themselfs feel better. Trying to justify there notions, however lame they might be.

The sun will be shining when they throw these bums into the pen, where they can all claim how "innocent they all" are. Great job = ATF, the good guys won this round. :)
