$2,000.00 to SPEND. What to BUY?

Wow, 2 grand to blow on 1 handgun. I am green with envy. Recently I had 500 bucks to blow and bought a Glock 19, but if I had 2 grand, I would be very tempted to get a Sig P210, the Rolls Royce of handguns. I recently read an article that stated that the P210 was like having both a rifle and a handgun. Won't go that far, but I guess the P210 is very accurate for a handgun. That said, I also like the 9mm over all other loads.

I'd recommend that you dump it all on something on Nasdaq. You don't want to be just another paycheck-to-paycheck proletarian the rest of your life, do you???

Yea, quantity. J&G sales http://www.jgsales.com/jglongguns.html is offering this for a mere $2,250. Some might think it makes a more interesting piece than your run of the mill custom 1911. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Deliverer,
I must add emphasis to what Sam and Jay said. Since you've got a variety of guns, GET $2,000 in ammo. When the time comes that you have to sign for every box (like in 1970) and they know what you bought, when and for what gun (you don't have any registered guns for that caliber? Then you must have an illegal/unregistered gun and "they will come for it) and (God help us all) they make us turn in our empties to get a new box, you will wish to dear heaven that you had bought several thousand rounds for each caliber gun that you own (and more for the most "useful" calibers).

4 imbel receivered fals from century; don't laugh, they all shoot good once broken in or smithed in; remember it's cheaper by the dozen or in this case 4.

You could buy ME a Springfield Armory 1911 A1. You still wouldn't have a new gun but you would have my eternal gratitude. ;-)

2 grand to spend?? That will almost get you started in reloading. Start with a Dillion 550, some tool heads, dies, a bench, books components. You'll probably need more than 2 grand if you want to join the rest of us who are saving lots money by reloading.

It's a lot of fun. It's a second hobby.

Deliver, The gun the fed had in the face of little Elian is an HK MP5. The going rate for a registered one that can be owned by civilians are going for a minimum of $7500.00. Plus the $200 federal transfer tax. Registered full auto prices have gone through the roof in the last couple of years.

Might I suggest something like a Dillon 550 and a top quality safe. If you don't already had said items. If so, I'd hear Wilson or Freedom Arms calling me.

How about a week in New Hampshire, say around the fall (foliage) and take LFI 1. Cost + ammo + accomodations + airfare would be under $2000. If LFI comes to a town close to you then you could save some on your travel expenses, and use the difference to purchase or at least put a sizable chunk of cash to an NRA Life membership.

Training to use all those guns you have plus helping to preserve the Bill of Rights, what could be better?

STAY ALERT! STAY ALIVE!

I'm surprised no one else has said it, but for $2k you can get an HK Mark 23 - just as accurate as any of those custom 1911s, but nowhere near as finicky. Plus you can put a supressor on it and play SEAL-boy.

OH - DO NOT SAY NASDAQ!

I am still smarting from the beating that I took... ouch... the pain...
Honey - can you fetch me some Advil?
