1916 Spanish Mauser stock ?

I have a 1916 Spanish Mauser I recently picked up cheap. It's been painted up and half way sporterized so I wanna finish it. I can only find sported stocks for Spanish 93 mausers, will they fit a 1916? Thank you

I did that once years ago and I think it worked ok but the barrel steps were in the wrong place.

The 1916 short rifle is an updated 1893 Mauser. Any stock for a 93 Mauser will fit.

Most of the aftermarket stocks are inletted liberally to fit a lot of variations so most stocks for 93/95 Mausers will fit the 1916(which in many cases is just an re-designated 93).

Years ago (4-6) I put a Boyd's Prairie Hunter on a 1893 1916 Pattern short rifle,
for the military barrel channel and it worked out fine.
