Have had many of both in my hand for making custom ammo; the Kimbers seem a bit better finished, more accurate, nicer stock trigger feel, and less troublesome.
Just my observations......
This may be heresy but I'm lovin' my Norinco Model of the 1911.
It needs trigger work (seems like 8-10 stock) and better sites but it is one straight shooting sumbitch. Wilson and Baer (I believe) will both do a few aftermarket mods on these.
