Kimber or Springfield Armory. The only problem with the SA pistols is that they have lots of sharp edges. FWIW, my Kimber's reliability is really good. I'm very happy with it. If you have tons of cash, get Wilson Combat, it's a better bet than a "higher-end" Kimber, IMO. If you have insane amounts of money, get one hand-made for you... or buy a Glock and a *car*. 
Charles Daly pistols SUCK SUCK SUCK. Pick one up and your body naturally rejects it; it feels like what it is: crap. Work the slide and it sounds like a witch's fingernails on broken glass. Avoid like plague. Please. If yours doesn't suck then it is a fortunate fluke, but a fluke nonetheless.
