For carry:

2 8rd McCormick Power mags and a GI mag with the Wilson 7rd conversion kit in it.Never a problem since I polished the barrel/feed ramp.

Can't vote twice

If I could have cast two votes my second would have been for the Pachmayrs. My old Colt magazines still work fine as well. Still, for carry purposes I stick with the Wilsons.

For the first 10 or 12 years I carried 1911s all I used were GI or Colt factory magazines. When I discovered the Wilson 8 round, and the 7 round for the Officer's ACP, I never used anything else. All told I carried one form of 1911 or another for 26 years.
Since then I've been Glocked, but that's another sad story.

I've had good luck with the Springfield Armory factory mags I bought with my Mil-spec ($9 each with coupon). 2 FTF's in the first 100 rounds, and no hiccups after that (800 rounds so far).

Stock Kimber mags - my Ultra Carry shot fine with the first one, so I bought two more. Unless you know otherwise, the best I can tell from Internet posts is that Kimber sources them from Chip McCormick.

Maybe I'll get Wilsons one day, but these work without trouble. No sense in messing with it!
