I've shot and handled hundreds of the Argentine 1911's. The Ballerina Molesters are well made, they WORK, they FUNCTION and can do a dandy job of protecting your butt CHEAP. Not a fashion statement, they do work.
As for the others, you find some of the finest machining you can imagine on the 1911A1's. They also weigh more by an ounce or more than a Colt. Some are knocked around, but they are the finest of workmanship you just can't find anymore.
They have been on the market since the 1960's at various times. I will get another. For $200 the BM will do the job. I know many of our students that have one in various places for backup etc. You don't have to spend $600+ dollars for good reliable protection.
