17hmr...am I crazy?

Bottle neck cartridges seem to have problems in revolvers no matter the caliber. Think about a .22 Magnum instead, you can also get a .22lr cylinder in the same gun.

Just took the Ruger single six .17hmr to the range for the first time. Enjoyed shooting it. First time I have shot a single action, gate load pistol in literally years. The gun is accurate and has a very good trigger right out of the box.

Guy shooting on the lane next to me said the 6-1/2 inch barrel belches quite a flame when the gun fires. I couldn't see that, but am not at all surprised.

Very happy with the purchase. Nice gun.

You can get a Heritage Rough Rider in .17 HMR, I had one with adjustable rear fiber optic front sites. Fun gun and was pretty accurate, think I paid like $150 for it.
