16in lever gun in .357?

If you want a pistol caliber lever action, get an action that was designed for it. Puma/Rossi copies of the Win 92 are pretty nice...

They are running about $600 in stainless

1894c

i've got a marlin 1894c for sale; haven't put it on site yet. 18" blued with walnut stocks. $630.00 shipped to your ffl. pm or email for pics if interested.

One of the 1894 357 ss limited sold for $1800 a few weeks ago on gunbroker. I was going to pay up to $1000 for it, but crapped in my pants instead.

I have 2 concerns with the Puma:
1. the butt-stock is rounded. Gross.
2. I am not sure about the quality of the build. I want this rifle to be heirloom quality. If that means waiting a few years until I can afford to get the Marlin than so be it.

I called Marlin about two years ago to coax them into producing some more of those LE stainless .357s, but their response wasn't very encouraging. :(

I wouldn't call the current run-of-the-mill Marlin rifles "heirloom quality".

Start looking for original Winchesters in 38-40. If you get one that's un-shootable, send it to Turnbull for a restoration.

I realize this thread has been quiet for a while but I found it while researching SS357LTD Marlins.

I own one of these mythical trapper edition rifles. It's in very clean condition and I'd like to sell it.

If anyone is interested, send me a PM or email to info AT dfwbiofuels DOT org.

Thanks and Happy New Year.
