Perhaps they all forgot that intercourse with a minor is illegal. It is a crime.

Here's what's gone wrong with this country.... Crazy judges are trying to do the job of a father with a 45 and a brother with a shovel. Some issues are just to private to be dealt with by a public servent.
 
Well, of one thing you can rest assured.

The girl's family must be real trash.

Be sure that, if it weren't so, they wouldn't be "satisfied" with this monstruous judgement just so that he can have "paternity".

If I was the girl's father, I would show the @$$hole the true meaning of "paternity"!

There was a time in America when this kind of crime was punishable by death. Enforcing current laws is NOT the problem. Enforcing JUST laws is a solution.

The few and the just laws that this nation began with have now been replaced with a myriad of bandaids to deal with the proverbial cancers. Perverse crimes like this are the inevitable result of a nation rejecting the law Giver, IMHO.

Interesting.

A few years ago, a local fella had “relations” with the 15 y/o daughter of a
hard-working, well-liked common man. The girl has the mind of a 9 y/o.

The offender was charged and jailed for his own protection.
Soon he was convicted, jailed for a short time, then, as a result of some
“deal”, he was turned loose on probation.

When they let him out of the jail (the story goes), two deputies put him in a
patrol car and took him directly to the county line. He was offended until
they quietly explained they were not hassling him, they were trying to save
his life.

He left the area - returned to a more “eastern” state where (the story goes)
he was killed when he drove his old pickup directly into a bridge abutment.

He’s not missed by anyone here. ;)
 
Hate to be the voice of dissention here, but....

What's the root cause of this country's deevolution? I guess there are many....however, "breakdown of the family" must certainly come to mind. According to this article, the girl's mother agreed to the plea agreement in order to resolve the paternity case (read "child support" here). No question that this little girl is a victim, "consentual" or no....but it sounds to me like two adults should be darkening the door of the nearest State Prison.

What happened to this type of criminal swing at the end of a rope in the middle of the town square, now he gets to cut the cord; in more ways than one. If I lived in Dade county with a wife, mother, or daughter; I would be getting out, this guy will probably get the "itch" before long.

This looks like one of those "deals with the devil." The girl's mother (who acts on behalf of the girl) pushed for the rapist to be legally considered the child's "Father," so that he would be required to pay child support. However, as a "Father," he supposedly has certain rights that come with the territory.

How the Heck can it be a "first offense" when they stipulate that he sexually assaulted the girl on multiple occasions? Multiple counts, multiple offenses, serial rapist.

No child is safe around him, and yet the intent is to make him legally (fiscally, at least) responsible for another one.

Repugnant. How much did mommy turn her back?
