12G MEC 600Jr Mk 5 - what am I doing wrong?

I have zero issues with the Universal charge bars on either of me MEC Jr.s; (my Grabber doesn't use one). They have held the same settings for decades.
 
Unique has never be thrown consistently no matter I was loading - shotshell or handgun. Universal seems to be better and close to Unique.
 
Have not tried Universal. I found a good load with Tightwad for 12, 16, and 20. I have a loader set up for each. I use the fixed bars and never change anything on the three except shot size depending on what I am hunting, birds, squirrels, rabbits, or turkeys.
