12-gauge for bats???

Think environmental. Bats are your friends, unless you are a mosquito.

But if you MUST shoot one, use a musket or a cannon. Everyone knows you should shoot balls at bats. :)

No need for a 12 guage. Just one potato gun and a very large vidalia onion. :D

Mike,

We've all seen these ultrasonic devices advertised that claim to eliminate many types of rodents, insects, pests, etc. due to a non-audible (to humans) high-pitched sound that drives the varmints away. I have no idea if these work, however, they may be worth trying -- inexpensive, plugs into standard 110 AC circuit, and no need for all that messy plaster re-patching after all the 00 buckshot splatters around.

Best regards.

Use caution when installing untrasonic devices. They MUST be sterilized prior to actuation. Bats will copulate with them and you don't want a house full of little lectrobats, course the young ones who can't fly yet are called robats.

just be sure you check your wife's neck in the morning. ;)

Seriously, Bats are benficial (even if they are a little spooky for some folks) and funny, esp when One roosts on your aunt's backside.

Once said by a girlfriend while we were driving to Moab Utah, "Rob, what are those birds I keep seeing in the headlights?"

"those are bats dear"

I'm not getting out of the car"

"they won't bother you there are hunting insects... big juicy horseflies and skeeters and moths.."

"I have plenty of bug spray"

She eventually DID get out of the car and we had a wonderful stay in Utah.. I think she just chose to "ignore" to sound of leathery wings overhead at night.

Let's see, which is the better story. MAD DOG's insectoid immolator or 4V50Gary clubbing pigeons with his baton (while on duty? Donut shop parking lot?)?

Sam, my bats don't bring me insects. Should I shoot them?

Regards,

Ledbetter
