110 grain ammo in a SW686?

Reading this thread, and similar threads over the years, I have a thought/question/bone. I understand the concept of faster "ejects", lighter bullet hitting the forcing cone faster, etc. Those things make sense for a 110 grain .357 loaded to full velocity, somewhere north of 1500 fps from a four inch barrel. However, most factory loaded 110 grain ammo from the mainline manufacturers is medium velocity ammo loaded to a nominal 1295 fps. It's not close to being full power. Basically like 9mm +P. I find it difficult to believe it is any harder on a revolver than any other load. Especially an L-frame.
