Steyr M40. It's about $500. That would be your defense and range gun.
Ruger 22/45 6" slabside. $239 This would be the practice range gun and plinking. (Super cheap ammo!)
Ruger 10/22 Rifle. $169. Self explainatory.
$500
$239
$169 +
____
$908
$10 for 500 rnds of .22 CCI blazers.
6 boxes @ $9/box of Federal .40 S&W.
1 box @ $15 of Corbon BeeSafe .40 S&W home defense
$10
(8 x $9)
$15 +
______
$97
$908 + $97 = $1005
That would yield 3 guns, 500 rnds of .22, 300rnds of .40 for the range, and 8 rounds of .40 for home defense.
I have a 10/22, a Steyr M40, and will be getting a Ruger 22/45 soon. Now how can you argue with logic like that??
you'd be well armed, the .40 will take care of most things, the Ruger will make a good trail gun, and the rifle is just good fun.
