1-9" 223 recipes?

pctechdude, I also have an early Sport with 1in8 melonite barrel that is an absolute tack driver. I didn't know they stopped using that barrel.

with 55 gr hornady soft points, 24.3 of H335 well under an inch at 100 yds
with same bullet, same results with 27.3 gr of CFE223
with sierra 40 gr tipped bullet and 26.5 of H335 same results.
I seat them all at 2.230 over all length
All under an inch @100yds

They still use it in the higher end models but not the sport. They are one of the best AR's I've ever shot. Ticked me off. Everyone I know that bought one, absolutely loves those barrels. They are tack drivers! I have yet to find a load that didn't shoot well in these!

24.5gr h335
62gr ss109 (m855 bullets)
Cci primers
2.260" overall length

Shot .5" groups at 100yards

Not bad for a steel core penetrator load

A bit off topic, but using 26.5 grains H4895 with a 53 grain Vmax out of a 20" barrel is giving me a MV 3412.
