All of the foregoing is EXCELLENT advice. But, may I offer an alternative? I, too, have the both Lee products. I tried to "sneak up" on reloading and do it on the cheap. I started with the Lee Classic, then the Pro1000's (3 of them) and finally the Loadmaster. I still have them all, and just a bit of change invested. When I add it all up it is considerably more than a Dillon 550B. Nothing wrong with ANY of the Lee equipment. But if you can manage the funds and have the patience to troll FleaBay; go for a Dillon 550B (bypass the 450). Use the much less expensive Lee dies and you will be a happy thrifty re-loader.
 
I usually size and prime brass off the press when I have some spare time. Most of my brass is range brass so I size it then put it in the tumbler for cleaning. I also prime it ahead of time.
I have done the whole operation of sizing and priming on the press and it works well. Probably faster to do it that way as the brass only has to be handled once. Just old habit for me to size and prime separately.

Btw. I'm not much of a mechanical guy and the simplistic functionality of this press makes it easy to learn.
It did initially need some tweaking but what wasn't covered in the instructions was easily found on the Internet and YouTube.

I like and appreciate the advice. And if I could I'd be ordering the Hornady lnl today. Unfortunately this stage of the game... I don't have the funds to purchase something like that. Not to mention all the accessories for it. That's why I'm going with the Lee classic. And then down the road, when I can afford it, I'll get a upper tier progressive. And I'll keep the classic to serve another purpose.
