I registered here years ago as ZWolfgang, but I'm known as DHart on other forums, so for the sake of consistency, I'm now changing my login here to DHart. So, goodbye from ZWolf and hello there from DHart!
Funny thing is when I signed onto this forum I reconized you as DHart by those very nicely done pics of your handgun collection. keep up the good work.
Well, you are a master photographer for sure, but nick names might not be your strong suit. What ever you call yourself, there is no mistaking your images, a rose by any other name, eh? Maybe your next nick can be AAdams, or AEisendstaedt, or AStieglitz? Not bad company, huh?
If you haven't already done so, PM an admin or mod to remove the zwolfgang signon. You can't have two accounts on the broad and you don't want to get into trouble for it .
When I read that the 1911Forum closed. I was very very sad that I would not chat with you guys any more, and that all that very valuable information is lost!!!! My consolation is that I found you guys here and that your pictures were saved! Looking forward to chatting with old friends and a whole lot of new ones!!!!!
Hi Guys from another ex-1911 Forum junkie. Have we found a new home? It's nice to see a few familiar names (and pictures). DHart, as a longtime photographer, I envy your skill with controlling indoor lighting.
Hey Nano.
Did you purchase that wheelgun you were discussing a while back on the other forum? I was just out this week shooting my S&W M629 Classic with 5" barrel. Had been shooting the .45 so much lately that I had almost forgotten how sweet the S&W single action trigger pull really is. Guess I will always be a revolver man at heart.
Anytime you need more inspiration to get a revolver, just ask DHart to post a picture of a good S&W wheelgun.
I placed an order (50% Down) with the Colt Dealer for a Python. But I found out that Colts isn't making them till late this year apparently they are putting in new production equipment. So I was thinking of getting a Taurus in the mean time cause its cheaper since half my revo money is still with the colt dealer and they can't give it back cause they already placed the order (so they say). But having read some of the posts here I am having second thoughts on the Taurus. Mr. Tamara said that although he is a Taurus fan the guns hes bought recently seem to have a lot of QC problems. If servicing the Warranty seems to be difficult in the US with Taurus in Florida, it would be a disaster here in Manila!!! So am looking around to see if I can get a good second hand S&W. A bit difficult cause the Phil is mostly Colt1911 country and to my limited knowledge not too many revolvers here. BUT there is always hope. In the mean time I am learning as much about revolvers as I can.
Glad you guys are here too! Feels a bit more like "Home".
