So I had need of some creative sling mounting and I actually braved the m4carbine.net forums to get it. I know there are some Megaaaaadooshes there that are oh Soooo tacticool and are downright mean ... I read it sometimes for knowledge but theres only so many times I can read the same thing over and over- "SEARCH FUNCTION U IDIOT NO0B CLOSE LOCK THE THREAD" and/or "YOUR BRAND SUCKS U IDIOT HAHAHA LETS LAUGH AT HIM HAHAHA HE AINT GOT NO GOOD ONE"

I mean is that the best your life has amounted to? Anyway, believe it or not I got some great answers at first!!! (Of course after a few nice answers I started getting [Put down the AR, if you can't figure out how to sling it YOUSHOULDNT BE FIRING A WEAPON U IDIOT]. )..

Basicxally my first problem was, that my S&W M&P 15-22 was/is a NJ compliant. When I went to change the pinned , fully extended M4 stock with a Magpul MOE, I broke it off with a hammer, and basically superglued the MOE Stock to the receiver extension aka buffer tube... entire tube of SuperGlue locked the Stock to the tube (fully closed position, Im small and its a CQB style rifle for me) and then a tube of blue loctite thru the locing mechanism... its WAAAAAAY more permanent then a roll pin drilled thru the plastic.

BUT SHEIT, i didnt install a plate for a Rear sling mount, and obviously I cant remove it and put one on. What to do what to do what to do... eventually i gave up and asked M4C.

Someone suggested a Ziptie on the back there, and maybe throw a keyring on before... So I knew w ehad some in the house "flex cuffs" lol... and I found a stash of them, zipped in on back there around the part where the stock ends at the receiver, and had the key positioned where I would mount my MS/2 on the sling plate mount on my 5.56 AR.

Well what the hell do you know, it works great! I mean it might look a touch touch ghetto but hey its Ghetto Fabulous! And it works fine. So I figured, I'd like to try this on my 930 SPX by Mossberg.... and so I put a single ziptie on the Mag extension, i used a soft loop of cloth that was part of a keychain given away from local bank, and it works great for mounting the sling swivel onto. then in the rear, near the handle I mounted another zip tie with a keyring.... And used my sling (I have a Dick's-bought padded-top shotgun sling for the M930SPX) and it mounted up perfectly! I mean again I know this is ghetto but I can't believe how durable and easy to use/easy to mount it's been. Is it WWIII ready? Probably not but in SHTF/WWIII we'd probably need to find solutions like this and for me, its great!

Anyone in need of cheap/easy/effective/practical sling solutions should give the zipties/keyring a try--- if you don't like or screw up or even just can't deal with it, just snip it off and try again or be done with it! its so simple and there's no risk!

aNYWay I just write this in the hopes that if anyone had a need or problem maybe this will help them, if not then sorry for wasting your time I just thought I might give back since I've learned and taken a lot from on here.
