This is one of the saddest stories to come out of the African continent...inflation has gotten out of control...7500% to 100,000% in some places...there is NO bread, corn meal, flour, or safe drinking water, and dog meat is selling for 20 times the cost of government sanctioned meat when it was available...veterinarians are swamped with requests from pet owners to humanely put down their dogs, lest they become stolen and eaten by an ever desperate population. Rats are starving, and are now foraging for food in places that never had a rat problem...some of the people are looking at these rats as a potential source of food...what happened to South Africa?
