Yugo m-57 accuracy

I have put about 500 rds through my yugo m-57 since i got (1year ago) 100 rds of ppu and about 400 rds of bulgarian surplus. Im not saying its the gun but i cant hit anything with it, and i have heard they are accurate  With my bulgarian mak i can hit anything i aim at so i dont get it

I've had a yugo tok for over a year with mine shooting surplus I can wack a 4 inch steel plate at 15 yards and I've used it in idpa matches and it has been plenty accurate with that

some people just have trouble with tokarevs... one thing you may try is balancing a dime on the front sight while dry firing, if it falls off then you need more practice, if it stays put then you probably just have a shot out pistol.

I have found that the surplus ammo is hit or miss in the accuracy department. I bought a couple of tins of Bulgarian ammo, and it has been horrible. I had some Russian surplus I got years back for my CZ52 that shot well in my Yugos. Handloads with Starline brass have been very good.

Maybei will try some different ammo types with my tok (when i can find some) all i have now is like 50 rds of bulgarian surp and 70 rounds of polish (i let my supply run dry)

I was very pleased when I received my Yugo, it looked brand new. At the range, a different story. At seven yards it was hitting about 12 to 15 inches low. I couldn't even change my sight picture enough to make a difference. My guess is the trigger is so bad I just can't accomplish a smooth trigger pull. I was at a gunsmith for another matter and took the Yugo, long story short he didn't want to work on it. So yes, part of the problem is me. I guess the rest of my guns are so much better I'm spoiled. I've used surplus, S&B, and my own reloads. No difference. I may try another smith at some time in the future or may mess with it myself but its pretty useless as is.

thats the same problem i have with mine except sometimes it shoots normal and i can hit things with it.. and others i will be shooting at a target 15 yards infront of me and it will hit the ground  i dont see how it could be the gun if it was the gun i doubt any military would have used it. So it must be me

I really like my M57. I find it to be pretty accurate. Not quite as accurate as my P64, but I can shoot the M57 without my hands feeling like they have been smacked with a sledge hammer after 1 hour of shooting. Also I only shoot surplus ammo through the M57.
