Yugo 48

What's the difference b/n the 48 and 48A?

The 48 is about $10-20 more expensive.

Thanks,

Coop

BTW, is $190 a good price for an unissued 48?

The 48 and 48A are exactly the same operationally, but the 48A differs cosmetically in that it has some stamped metal parts, such as the floor plate and trigger guard.

Either one will be fine.

BTW, $190 is a little steep, but not so much that I would pass up on a real nice 48 or 48A.

if 190$ is M48 excellent condition with every accesory(bayo, scaboed, original cleaning kit, sling, etc), It might be a retail price depends on location, my local usually 170$ something for above condition,(at gunshow I even saw 200$)

Not much real difference. All I have seen were rebuilt German K98s or Czech VZ-24's. They have some new parts, most have new barrels and some have new bolts. They are good rifles, but no better than the German or Czech guns they began as.

Coles Distributing has the Yugo M48As for $99.00 in Excellent condition. I bought an unisssued one using my C&R license and would rate the condtion as like new/excellent. These are some fun rifle to plink with and at these prices everyone should own one.
