I like these anatomical targets from LE Targets

I have to use a marking pen to outline the heart, spine, and brain because at 10+ yds they're difficult to see. Otherwise they work well for PD training.

Dots? We don't need no stinkin dots...

My personal preference is to shoot at a plain piece of cardboard or paper. No dots, lines, boxes or circles. Zip, zero, zilch, nada. -Goodspeed

The range I frequent does not allow targets of any human resemblance, probably to keep all the tacticool types with bin Laden targets at bay. So its typical circle targets for me, they work just fine.
The most fun target? Old lolipops I found, its fun to watch them explode when a .22 hits it just right. A dime a hundred too, they're cheap.

Usually I just shoot at whatever circular targets I pick up at Wally-World. Sometimes shoot at milk jugs, placed at different distances and elevations. This time of year old pumpkins are a favorite. Strangest thing I have shot up is a cheapie shop-vac from Wally-World that had died in the middle of a job. Great way to take out frustration with junk appliances. :D

I make my own. Where I work we go through a lot of cardboard. And It's alway big thick pieces - perfect for targets. Plus it's cheaper. I always make my own cheapy target stands too.

Kind of like a generic IDPA target I guess. It's not to spec, I'm sure.

favorite targets

I have shot so many paper targets that I like going out into the desert and shooting reactive targets. One of my favorites is a tennis ball. Just toss them out at different distances and try to hit them and wherever they land and continue till they get behind something to where you can't see them. You never know the distance and they will take a tremendous amout of punishment.

I really perfer any type of reactive target. They are a lot more fun and you also learn to keep your eyes on the sights and not on the target. Dum Dum suckers are another great target. Stick them into a predrilled board or the top of a cardboard box. You have to shoot the sucker not the box or the stick. Another great target is dried out PEEPS they explode when you hit them.:D

I'm a woodworker... saw blades get used up and become good targets hung from a string. When I think I'm hot stuff hitting them at 10 yards I switch to jelly jar tops.

I like soda cans, frozen taters, bowling balls and pins, cans of mixed veggies and tomato sauce, home printed paper targets, and anything filled with tannerite. My prefered targets are warm blooded and fuzzy, but inanimate objects work well too.

For .22LR I like the Do-All auto reset target, tin cans, various paper targets, and playing cards.
For other calibers Paper targets, tin cans, and plastic water bottles.
I made a nice target stand that I will post pics of later.
