Your "some day" gun?

I think most gun lovers have that one gun that they think of as their "some day" gun. Meaning they will someday have the extra cash to buy their ultimate gun or that they finally buy that elusive "holy grail" they have been waiting years to find.

My personal "some day" gun would be a high end, custom 1911 with all the bells and whistles. I do not yet know which one; I just know it want it to be so high end that I almost soil myself every time I shoot it. I cannot justify the kind of cash they demand right now. Especially when I am so happy with my other 1911's...but some day I want one just to have it. I just hope I can get to a point in life where money is not a factor.

What is your "some day" gun?

this will be mine someday :D

Right now, this is weighing heavily on my mind, in 44/40

Model 1875 'Schofield' top break

"Designed by Major General George Schofield, the Smith and Wesson Model 1870 "Schofield" was a revolutionary design that broke open, ejecting all six spent cartridge cases automatically while providing easy access for re-loading. Fast re-loading being a distinct advantage in his line of work, Jessie James bought a pair as did John Wessley Hardin and Wild Bill Hickok."

Another Sig X-Five ( I have one in .40 but I'd like another one in 9mm ) but no big rush either.

I have a few 1911's from Wilson Combat - but I'd like one more of his special models.

I want an older, blued S&W N Frame. Caliber isn't that important, either .357, .44, or .45 will do.

I think the Smith N frame has to be the best looking handgun ever built:

I will just have to make do for now with my new 629 6" I'm picking up Monday.

I'd take a re-pro Navy Arms schofield in .45LC since I reload for it already. I'd feel bad shootin' a vintage one.

My other 'someday' is a Springfield TRP or LW Operator. I gotta wait and see if I can use it as a duty gun though. Most rural PD's here in the free states let you carry whatever you can qualify with (within reason).
