front sight went with the sawed off barrel end
scope mount
cheap scope

Not on this gun:
Rear sight
rear sight protector rings
bayonet mount
front barrel spring
masking or duct tape :)

Good eyes, the paperweight is a Galil .223, not mine but a very nice weapon.

Where did you get that buttstock on the AR with the 1911 grip? I've only seen Gunsmoke selling them and the Buffer tube wasn't reinforced like that.

Actually that is the buttstock that Gunsmoke sells. I just wrapped it with 550 cord.

I don't think Gunsmoke keeps a lot of them in stock due to lack of demand. He told me that someone custom makes them for him.

The reason I chose that buttstock for the post ban project was as follows:

1. A2 stocks just don't look right on a carbine
2. Fixed postition retractable stocks are flimsy and feel cheap
3. I can still adjust this stock for length of pull by loosening the screw and sliding the actual buttstock, plus it is very well made and sturdy.

The lady knows more about firearms than just about everyone I know, and that includes many TFL members with decades of firearms experience.
 
Hey Leadringser. I have all of those assault weapons too. The M1 Carbine, the Mauser 98, and infamous Mark 5 Earmuffs. If they hadn't banned the Mark 5 Earmuffs in the PRK, I would buy some more.
 
Thanks, guys. Hope I don't disappoint anyone, but it's not a PSG1.

It's actually an SR9T, "T" meaning target, I guess. They started with a hand selected SR9 reciever, Poly barrel, PSG1 trigger group and grip, MSG90 stock. They were set to import 250 of them, but imports were frozen when somebody called BS on the "It's a target rifle, so we can put a pistol grip on it, OK?" Not sure how many made it in, but it's kinda rare. I think the SR9TC is even rarer, that's the same rifle with a PSG1 butt instead of my MSG90.

I figure it's about 85% of a PSG1.

With my handloads, I covered my last 5 shot 100 yard group with a 1/2" pastie, that's with a flyer.

Best so far is a 9 shot .9" group at 100. I've also hit steel at 800, not sure how it was grouping, though.

It's way better than I am.
