so should I just suit up my tinfoil hat, or stockpile weapons and food?
I highly doubt even the ACLU is suggesting such drastic measures (they don't like you having weapons anyways!) but I believe the underlying point of this vid stands. Although your social security number already works quite well as a national ID number...the only thing lacking is an agreement among various industries to standardize all of these information databases.

The technology and capability is certainly already there; the only reason things like this aren't possible are because enough companies haven't agreed on how to implement it. And before anyone tells me that they'd never agree to put into a system like that....how many of you read every single line of the EULA when you installed Windows? How many of you read every line of the form to get a library card or read the fine print in your health insurance provider's privacy policy? So many people have already signed away their information by not caring enough to read through all that legal crap.
