That's pretty amazing. I never get rid of any. I just accumulate 'em.

I've sold/traded 2 handguns in the 20 years I've been purchasing them.

I also gave one away as a thank you gift.

Not a bad record for a total of about 25 handguns, I don't think.

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

In Jersey it is such a hassle just to get the Fascist's permission to purchase a handgun, that I couldn't even consider parting with any of them.

They're all my little children, and I love them dearly, even the ones that don't shoot straight. Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, I'm one sick bird ;)

Glock 27
Sig 228
Ruger Mark II
Colt Pocket Nine
S&W M29
Colt Officer
Colt Defender
Colt Mk IV Series 70
Ruger Redhawk

Well.., that's 9 I can remember, anyway. I regret the Sig 228 and the Colt Mk IV Series 70

I only know 2 and have only been able to acquire them legally since april 99. So I have yet to sell, trade, or depart company with any of them. And I doubt I ever will.

I bought a new post ban Ruger Mini-14 in stainless with the plastic stock. I traded it in (for my purchase price) towards the purchase of a NIB Sig 229 in .40. Don't regret it, as I really wanted a pre-ban which I could put a folder on, and I love the sig.

I also bought a S&W titanium J-frame. I forget the model, but it was the .38 with the exposed hammer. I traded it in about 20 minutes after I bought it for the centennial version of the same gun (342ti), and paid the extra 20 bucks.

I guess I've never traded a gun I've shot.

I've sold three guns, and all were to facilitate the purchase of another.
S&W 29 (S&W 544)
Star PD, Colt Army Special (Detonics Combat Master). I don't really feel much of an attachment to guns that I have bought myself, but the ones that I inherited from my Father and Grandfather are like members of the family.

Gee, I've ended up selling quite a few over the years:

HK P7M8
HK SP89
(2) Les Baer Premier II's
Beretta 92FS
Glock 30
Glock 23
HK USP .45 fullsize
Sig 229
S&W CQB

Of the above list, I wish I could have held onto the HK P7M8 and SP89 and the (2) Les Baer Premier II's... But they had to go at the times, so I guess that's life...

My complete list of sold or traded HGs would probably push this close to 100K. :) The last ten, in no particular order:
1) Kahr K40-fuctioning and recoil
2) Kel Tec P32(blue)-rust
3) Colt LW Comm-frame takes a beating
4) Llama .22(1911 style)-functioning
5) Taurus .22-offered more $ than paid
6) Smith M41 .22- ditto
7) Smith M442-lost in pawn during divorce
8) Kahr K9(early nickle)-not yet into DAO
9) 686+ 4"-want the Mountain Gun version
10) Taurus 945-hammer bite! "clunky"
I have since re-purchased a M442, and I am on my second Kahr. I may take another chance on a K40, but I will buy it new to be sure. I will get a P32 again, IF I can find one in hard chrome. The Mountain Gun balances like my old M66, w/one more round. I wish it was a standard catalog item. I've been trying to get another Taurus .22 also. A member of my range has the 3" version in SS, which is discontinued(???). Old codger just won't part with it. :(

Only ever sold two guns in my life,Do I regret it?,Yes to some extent. Back in my younger days, Out of work and needed the money. Will I ever do it again, I don't think so unless I become destitute and need the money. And I don't think at this stage of my life that is going to happen. :)

Jeez, you trying to make me cry from regret? But I've wised up with age, I'll trade or sell no more unless it's a bad piece and I don't like the guy.

A .22 double derringer that would not shoot straight.

A .38 Long Colt Colt DA revolver.

A 1911A1, I had bought for a fellow employee.

The set of right / left had Randall 1911's.

The Springfield Armory 1911, the military armory.

Now leave me alone, I'm crying about the lost of the last three.

I am like some of the other posters. I have not sold or traded a gun since I was married. I took one back (a taurus that would not feed) but I never trade or sell, only accumulate.

Now, If I could get back my python and high power that I sold to get wedding rings I would really be happy.

P229 Sport and 357 SIG, H&K P7PSP and 9MM, Dual Perfection!!

I have never sold any of my guns, and don't plan to do so ever. I am buying as many as I can afford, just in case they ban them. I also prefer to buy from private sellers, but that doesn't happen often.

The only ones I regret selling:

Colt Python
Colt MK IV Series 80 .45ACP

The ones I'd like to have back just because I miss them:

SIG Sauer P229
Walther PPK/s

SW642 is the only one that I regret :(. I can't seem to acquire more than I 'need' ('main' CCW, 'Jesus' gun, 'small' CCW, and a plinker are all that I want/need).

Lessee . . .

Ruger Single Action Convertable 45 Colt/45 ACP (used). I only got the ACP cylinder and wanted a 45 Colt. Traded for a Super BlackHawk 44 mag.

Traded the Ruger Super BlackHawk 44 and a bit of cash for a Marlin 1894S in 44 mag.

Jennings J-22 "tackle box gun" --before I knew what a small gun was about. Traded a couple dozen hand tied flies for it. Traded it for a fly-reel.

Ruger P-944 (teflon finish) in 40 S&W. Traded in on a Glock 22.

Glock 22, six weeks later traded for a S&W Mod. 66 snub .357 mag.

Colt Mustang Plus II .380 Sold it to raise money for a kayak.

S&W Mod. 66 snub. traded in on a S&W J-frame snub in .357.

Another Jennings J-22. This one I got in trade for some reloading gear shopping, set-up, and instruction. Traded in on a Kel-Tec P-32.

Wish I still had the S&W K-Frame Mod. 66. But I filled in that wish with a Mod. 10 +P bull barrel 38 Spc.

The "want list" includes a CZ-52, a Thompson Contender, Colt Walker repro, P-08 Luger (a nice one, not a rebuild), and a Krinkov -- sort of a "handgun."
