What is your favourite hunting rifle and why is it your favourite? SHow me a pic of it and tell me a story or a hunt with it!

Remington 700 .35 Whelen. I bought this rifle on my 18th birthday as a BDL, and later stocked it with a laminated mountain rifle stock. Makes a trim, fast handling rifle with serious knockdown power. So far, I have killed six different species of big game with it.

Marlin 1895 GS 45-70 govt.
Light and handy to pack around with serious power. So far it has killed a Kodiak Brownie and a couple Sitka Blacktails.

Weatherby Vanguard in 7mm Remington Magnum using a 154 grain Hornady and 60.7 grains of Reloader 19. Drops deer like a box of rocks.

Refinished the wood with 11 coats of tru oil. Haven't shot anything game wise with it yet as I haven't had it long but am planning on it this fall. :)

.30-06

This is mine. Semi-autos pistols and rifles are not legal for hunting in Pennsylvania. This is as fast or faster - for two shots anyway - and reliable.

I'll have to figure how to post foto of, but my fav is my little Marlin Camp .45acp even tho I've used it only 3 times hunting - 2X for hog (got one each time) and once fill a doe tag.

Favorite hunting rifle:

Definitely would have to be my Blaser R93 in 6.5x55 Swede.
Has a nice 30mm Zeiss Diavari scope on it that is awesome. Hard to beat this combo for all my hunting conditions/requirements.

G'day. .270 Ruger M77 Mark II, 6-24x40 scope, laser pointer and Harris bi-pod.

My son (about to turn 18 soon) holding my semi-auto .22 Stirling before it was taken away by new laws banning them. I had put so many rounds through that gun it must have nearly been worn out.

My first and will always be my favorite deer rifle (and pigs if I get the opportunity.) Dad bought it for me at K-Mart about 22 years ago and I paid him back a chore at a time.

Remington model 41 Targetmaster. .22 singleshot, 26 in barrel and putting meat on my familys table since 1936. It was my grandpa's rifle that he ordered from Sears. It has killed everything that lives in the south from butterflies to deer and hogs. To me it is the memories that it has, not to mention that it will outshoot most any "new fangled" rifles outthere.

Mine is actually the newest rifle I have. It's a Ruger .30-06. I had a trigger job done on it. Sweet, sweet, sweet. I could not hit a dime with 2 out of 5 shots at 100 yards, but it shoots right at MOA, which is well within my specs for minute of deer/coyote. Got several of each with it last year. I have taken game with all of my rifles, but the whole package of the ever popular 06caliber and that rifle, and Nikon Monarch scope that I truly love. I will post a pic of it, if someone will be kind enough to tell me how to get the pic to show up in my post, as many of the pics above are.

You might notice that the rifle is "proper handed" not right handed. :p
