What's your favorite revolver?
I can't decide which is my favorite.
It's between my blued Smith 58 and my blued Colt Python snubby.
At least I narrowed it down to two revolvers.
That's easy! My Super Blackhawk, blued, 7 1/2" barrel.I saved and saved for it and bought it when I was 17, or rather, my Dad bought it. It was the first gun I reloaded for (except for shotshells).I have shot thousands of rounds through it, both .44 Special and Mag. loads. It's one of the few guns I've held that feels like it's an extension of my arm. In short, I love it!
I have 2 favorites, but lets just talk about this one.
1939 Smith and Wesson "Registered Magnum". One of only 5500 or so of the original 357 magnums as part of the Registration program. Each target is 50 shots, single action 15 yards.
The gun is sweet, perfect trigger and great shooter. I have since replaced the post war stocks with orignal Registered grips so it is nearly as original.
There are just too many revolvers in my safe to call one a favorite and start a riot. Seriously I love em all and what gets picked depends on what tickles my fancy that day.
Happy Holiday's! Although I am interested in all types and makes of guns, I do favor Colt revolvers, with the Python being my favorite. I own three Pythons, two of which are unfired. They are from 1977, 1980, and the one I use at the range is from 1983. I just picked up a Trooper mark V in bright nickel, which has the most incredible SA trigger, and a crisp DA trigger as well. I also have a Kimber gold match, glock 34 and ruger govt mark ll and shoot them all. In fact, my problem is I want one, at least, of every gun I like, I bet one or two of you might have the same probelm??? I think my next gun will be a S&W model 27, they are very nice and have a good feel to them, but the Colts always have felt better to me then S&W or Ruger, so I am biased to them. Happy New Year and "Good Shooting" to you all!! Here is a picture of my new Trooper
