I'll play

Defensive: Remmy Golden Sabers or Speer Gold Dots

Target/Plinking: Prefer my own reloads for target shooting. But for plinking or factory stuff, I don't mind CCI Independence, Remington UMC or WWB.

Whoops...read the thread before seeing the poll. Prefer .45ACP for both defensive and target shooting. I just have more fun shooting it. Although I will say, I enjoy target shooting with .22lr just as much.

For knocking the ten ring out, 7 grains of Bullseye behind a 240gr lead SWC in a 44 Mag case is the cat's meow too.

44 Mag and reloading were made for each other. Go from mild to wild.

Defensive rounds Federal Hydrashok 9mm in 124 grain +P+ and for plinking Winchester white box 115 grain FMJ.:p

Different purposes, different things. As you've seen, most aren't going to give one answer.

For target/plinking; I like 38 Special Wadcutters. For home defense, I prefer the 357 magnum with Golden Saber or Hydra-Shok. (But that's just one gun positioned tactically). For normal carry defense, 45acp 230 grain Golden Sabers. (Which is also one of the home defense guns). If I'm in a position where I can't carry the 45acp, I like the 32acp with Fiocchi HP.

I enjoy shooting my 9mm the most, which I voted for, but it's getting too darn expensive.

I stick to my .22 pistol for target shooting.

12ga 00 buck and 9mm JHP for defense.
