Your Fantasy Glock?

If you could build a Glock any way you could, how would you do it?

Glock 19, slimmed down to a THIN singlestack frame to accomodate a SLIM 10-round 9mm magazine, approx the width of a P7M8.

Stainless steel barrel, slide, guiderod. Stainless steel magazines, extended mag and slide releases. Ghost ring night sights.

Full-size .45ACP or 10mm with a grip that doesn't feel like a 2x4.
Glock 19-sized single stack .45 or 10mm. I don't like the little 36.

Full size .45 like on the 17/22 size frame - had a 21 once grip just too fat for me, this would be very popular you'd think if they ever made it 10 rounds would be just right - maybe not my ideal Glock but ideal pistol period.

How about a Glock Carbine?

If I could have any Glock product made for me, it would be a .45 caliber carbine that would use G21 magazines.

A single stack 9mm the size of the 26 would be nice also.

Single stack 10mm about the size of the G19...with a thinner backstrap to keep the grip as close to G19 size as possible. maybe a factory version of the Robar Grip reduction...but with the normal texture not the UGLY Robar re-texture. Oh yea..no fingergroves and no accesory rail!!!!

better grip angle, closer to the angle of the 1911, grips not as long front to back, slightly wider tho, a triple stack magazine 38 super.
6 inch barrel, compensated, not this ported stuff they call compensating, all stainless steel, 2 pound trigger.

Or a 21 re-engineered to use Wilson KZ45 magazines would be nice. It's not a true doublestack, rather a single-and-a-half stack..very ergonomic, the perfect balance of grip size and capacity.

I don't like the Glock 21, a little too big for me...

1) Get rid of the nasty Glock trigger

2) Give it a hammer

3) Make it all metal

4) fix the grip angle

5) make look nice

6) Support the chamber properly on the .40s and higher

7) Since it's got a hammer, give it a decocker

Oh wait... That's a Sig. :)

Sorry - couldn't resist

.45 ACP.

Grip and barrel length of the 19/23/32.

As the stubby G-30 mag hold ten rounds you could stagger the rounds a bit more with the longer grip for a ten round capacity in this gun and get by with a thinner pistol to boot. Mayby not quite as thin as the 36 but certainly better than the 30.

Rails stay, finger grooves go. Trigger guard also has excess material underneath it removed for a higher grip (and comfort for big hands).

Heinie Slant Pro night sights standard, except they would have the standard 3 dot system instead of the "8"

GCR polished tuned 3.5# connector installed.

Retail Price $375 (just enough to keep the riff raff away ;) )

(Thats just off the top of my head of course, I haven't thought about this at all :D)

The short answer is an H&K.

1.) I'd like a grip angle like the CZ-75/BHP/Beretta/1911/etc.
2.) A better trigger, one that does not go "Sprong"
3.) A better grip.
4.) Make it look good.

These faults don't prevent the Glock from being a servicable pistol, but do keep me from wanting one.

"Retail Price $375 (just enough to keep the riff raff away ) "

Yo...Blue Duck...

I think I understand your intent, but would you care to expand on this thinking??

I purchased my G23 for $390. Does that get me within your parameters of "upper class" as opposed to "riff raff"? I won't sleep until I know that you approve.

We all know how much we hate to see "riff raff" owning quality weapons.

I carry a Glock 17 so I fanaticize about a HK USP c 9. So the question is what can Glock do to stop me from wanting a HK USP c 9? My problem with my Glock has to do with the grip being too wide & not allowing proper trigger reach. Get rid of that back strap. Use a narrower grip like a 1911 that takes the same hi-cap mag. Add finger groves like a Pachmyer gripper revolver grip but shaped for a pistol. Use a rubbery Deacl Grip substance thats bonded to the grip so it doesn't peal. Hell all they realy got to do is get rid of the back strap. Use only the least amount of materal needed to hold the mag. Round the edges of the grip. Keep the finger groves. But Gaston wont re-design the frame for a grip for people with medium/small hands. So get a HK USP c 9 instead. How can a HK USP c 9 be improved? add finger groves.

Farmboy, note the winky smile face after my "Riff raff" comment just a joke refering to the fact that price is about $200 less than current retail. My 17 was purchased for $15 less than your 23 and I don't feel a bit bad about it. Sleep well $3.99 would be fine by me :)

add in a real safety... frame OR slide mounted, and remove that "sproingy" funky stupid trigger, and you have built MY perfect Glock...

do these 2 things, and I'll be first in line to own one (or 3)
