Trying to compile a list of great historical brief quotes such as
"Molon Labe" or "Nuts" that have had some political or military significance. What are some you know?

And please interpret for all others.... :-)

For me this sums up the long term left plan..

"You stupid ba@t$r#"
- Hillary Clinton as she slapped Bill.
(no funny smilie)

Think about it.
Why did she call him "stupid"?
I've discussed with many people what wording they would use if they "caught" their spouse cheating. None would use the term stupid in that context.
To me it says she was upset, not by him (Bill) cheating, but for getting caught and drawing negative attention to it.

"Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding." Solomon

Molon Labe

Essentially "come and take them" as in "over my dead body." I tried copying the historical text from wikipedia but it would not copy to this forum.

"It is better to live one day as a lion than a hundred years as a sheep."

"Shrimp may attack dragons in shallow water."

Pick one you like.

"A saying we have down in Texas. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice..uh......eh...Ain't goona get fooled again."

"...the term "democrat" originated as an epithet and referred to 'one who panders to the crude and mindless whims of the masses.'" - Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation
