You meet the nicest people

... at the range sometimes.

Went to my short range hole in the woods today to shoot my lever gun. It shot well for the first 50 shots, but seemed to develop issues in the last 30 or so. Split a new Starline case, and there seemed to be a lube buildup in the chamber. So tonight after cleaning the rifle, I didn't oil the bore, but left it dry. I'll double check my cases are free of any residual lubrication with an Iso soaked rag.

Two wet patches of T.M. (or is that M.T.) bore cleaner, and 3 dry patches and no further residue was indicated on the last dry patch. No leading either, other than a few tiny flecks on the first wet patch. Nice lube star on the muzzle indicating that the lube was holding up well the entire length of the bore.

Will head down there again in the morning to verify any improvement.

Met some really nice people from the Denver area, and generally had a good time.
