You are at a Bush rally and they drive by and start pelting people with eggs.

A few injuries but nothing too serious.

Some people's childen.......

It was at the daily Pro-Bush rally in San Jose at Almaden Expy and Blossom Hill Rd.

We are there from 4-6pm every day till it's over.

If they are doing this on a regular basis, notify the press and bring your own video cameras. You'd probably be able to get license tags in the process.

Claim that you were afraid of their "terroristic intimidation" - they get away with this when TRT shows up, so what's sauce for the goose . . .

Nail them. Get your video camera's, SLR's or whatever and parade those pictures around . These people do it to us. Time to turn the tables with their own babble.

Let cooler heads prevail...

Definately get some tags if you can... are they yelling insults too?
I might just be a bunch of bored kids out for some cheap thrills... I remember a story a college professor told us in class once. During the 1920's-30's there was a huge Klan rally in some farmer's field in Southern Wisconsin (Jefferson/Whitewater area)one spring friday night. The Klan was popular in a lot of rural areas at that time - the great depression and various scandals led to its fall from popularity. Acording to the Prof (who was fairly middle of the road) to join the Klan in the 20's it was $20 a year - a sizable amount in those days, usually only the upper and middle upper class could join. After everyone had assembled in the field for their rally, someone had thrown nails all over the only road leading in/out. In the aftermath, there was outrage and prognostication of a huge conspiracy on the part of this group and that (up in the North is was usually the Catholics, Jews to a lesser extent Blacks just because there were relatively few). The general speculation was that it was a bunch of newly graduated high-schoolers out for a thrill, but because it was the upper crust that had their then fragile car tires flattened - everyone involved kept mum...
Just something to keep in mind...

Klan trivia.

During the early part of the century, the Klan had exploded in membership. It was called the second cycle of the klan, and the members were mostly anti-immigrant. Most people saw the klan as a social club and not much else. When news broke about some lynchings of blacks, all these "upper crust" people realized that the Klan was more than talk, and the membership dissipated.
We discussed this in History class and I was amazed that people actually didn't know that the Klan was or could be violent. They thought it was just a group that got together and had picnics while talking badly about immigration policy. Oh- the second cycle wasn't so strong in the South, but it was huge in the mid-west.

kjm, I'm no fan of the Klan, but have you noticed that no cable channel runs "Birth of a Nation?" That early DW Griffith film was--unbelievably--part of the curriculum in my film history classes in 1971. I'd bet money that it isn't shown on any campus in the US today.
