YOU DO NOT HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO OWN A HANDGUN.

In E. Adams v. Williams 407 U.S. 143, 92 S. Ct.
1921, 322 Ed. 612 (1972) Justice Douglas discussing search and seizure problems wrote:

A powerful lobby dins into the ears of our citizenry that these gun purchases are constitutional rights protected by the Second
Amendment, which reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear
Arms, shall not be infringed."
There is under our decisions no reason why stiff state laws governing the purchase and possession of pistols may not be enacted.
There is no reason why pistols may not be barred from anyone with a police record. There is no reason why a state may not require a
purchaser of a pistol to pass a psychiatric test. There is no reason why all pistols (p.36)should not be barred to everyone except the police.

If Douglas says the sky is green, the sky neither changes nor cares. Some people are just now beginning to realize that the left is perfectly willing to lie to achieve their goals. Perhaps this will be clinton's greatest legacy.

Yes I do. The second ammendment protects the rights of all male citizens (and now days female citizens) to "keep and bear" military weapons. A revisionest judge's reinterpertation does not change what the founding fathers wrote and the clear wording of the militia laws of the 13 states at the tome the constitution was adopted.

------------------
"I swear to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemeis domestic or foreign WHOMSOEVER."

So much focus on the Second Amendment which, if strictly interpereted, means I have the INDIVIDUAL right to own an M-16!

Never mind the argument that the Second guarantees an individual right or not. Read the *context* of the whole Constitution. The whole kit-n-kaboodle is about restricting the powers of the Federal Government. The powers of the Fed Gubmint are enumerated, NOT THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE!!

Now read the Ninth and Tenth Amendments. You've got a long, long way to go to convince me that the Federal Government has any valid gun-control jurisdiction outside of regulating intersate commerce.

Frightening words indeed! However, be thankful his was a DISSENTING opinion in a Fourth Amendment case, and though his words may carry some rhetorical, persuasive weight should someone urge the Court to rule that way in a Second Amendment case, they are (Hallelujah!!) not controlling and not the law of the land today.

In reality,

We have a God-given right to own and carry handguns. The Constitution and Declaration of Independance recognize, not grant the right. Our rights stem from our Creator, not priviledges and favors granted by beurocrats. Unfortuneately, many beurocrats, judges, and voting public have rejected the tennents and rights ennumerated by THE Supreme Court Justice.

"But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip; and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." -Jesus Christ (Luke 22:36, see John 3:15-18)

All things are the same except for differences and all things are different
except for similiarities.

With enough practise, any anti civil (firearms) rights, socialist, propagandasist can make anything seem like anything else.

Damn Straight ! I'm always bewildered when people say to me "well it's the law" as if there is no questioning it, when the law is for evil then it is no longer law to me.

GREAT line. I have to etch that in my mind, for future use. :)

The biggest worry we have right now is the extremely dangerous precedent set in Massachusetts by the AG there, which will undoubtedly inspire other states. That they think they can restrict guns from us because they are a consumer item is a dangerous end-run around the 2nd.

You think my Glock is a defective item, Mr. AG? I can assure you it works EXACTLY as it was intended to.

Fight the power.
