You can't shoot just one.

Like the Lays chips commercial "You can't eat just one", shooting a suppressed gun is hard to stop. I took the 10/22 out to test run a couple of replacement magazines and ended up running through 1/2 box of ammo. I probably would have finished the box but my phone rang and even suppressed, it's hard to shoot while talking on the phone.

Shooting a silenced gun left handed will make you want to stop after a while.

That's the only downside I can think of.

Other than that, I love the thump of silenced 45.

Try loading your own and making a powder puff round and run it through a suppressor. That's real cool. It's pretty close to the movie pew pew, especially if the action doesn't cycle. Just be careful that the bullet really cleared the barrel.

I find myself reluctant to leave the range, even with my loud guns... :D

I don't own any silencers... I just prefer the bang to the pfft... besides you ever seen folks crowding around the shooters with a muzzle brake?

Nope, they are all hovering around the folks with the cans... I like my space! :D

Honestly, anything in the NFA realm is really fun. Only suppressed gun I've shot was a Glock 17, but with standard ammo. Even without subsonic, the sound was very interesting and it was just very cool.

Shooting an MP5 was way cooler, though. :)

Down the road, I'd like to get maybe a beat to crap Chinese SKS and do a scout-type scope mount for the rear sight, and put a can on it. An "assasin's SKS". Gotta move first, though. Totally looking forward to projects like that. :D
