You people keep talking about all these 1200.00 great guns etc. I will lay 100.00 down right now that I will out shoot you with whatever handgun you give me(provided there is an agreeable inspection first and that you are just a "hobby" shooter)and I get 20 practice rounds. Any takers?

This sounds like too good of an opportunity to pass up ... I've got a nickle plated Browning BDA380 that I can hit the X-ring with at 25 yards with my eyes closed. I'll shoot that one. You'll shoot my chrome finished Raven .25ACP which I can't group at 7 yards. ;)

Anything is possible over the 'net (but real life is not so forgiving).

Siggy, where are you?
Perhaps one of us 'nuts' might join you for some shooting (without stacking the deck).

I, for one, would simply shoot the same gun as you............and you can choose from my collection.

I know where to get old computers for next to nothing to surf the Web, but I still spent $1400 for a desktop system to get something reasonably decent and reliable. What's the problem with $1200 for an above-average gun? Want to get together and play a couple of hands of poker for $100 minimum bet? John

Yep I am nuts and I like it that way.

Where are you at? I'm sure we can find a TFLer nearby to knock your ego down a notch.

siggy,

TURN ON THE EXHAUST FAN FOR THE LAB HOOD!

DO IT NOW!

You got to be real careful with some of those organic solvents.
Make sure you have good ventilation next time you pop the stopper on a flask of one of those aromatic hydrocarbons.

WHOOO EEE!

Breathing some of that stuff for too long surely affects a persons judgement.

Ha ha. Love it, William.

My challenge would be my NAA Mini in 22 Short vs. a Glock 34 at 25 yards.

Given the bullet is sideways about 1 foot from the barrel of the Mini, it should be interesting.

Let's make it more fair. .22 LR J. Higgins revolver versus scoped 7.5 inch .44 Mag Redhawk at, say 50 yards. :)

*snort*

25 yards. Early 1980's Jenning's J-22 vs. my HK P7.

Bit of a caveat, though: the Jennings tends to double and triple fire about once a magazine. Probably the pot-metal sear. And the rifling is gone--that might explain the key-holing shots. It rode in Mom's purse for so long that the front and rear sights are gone--also probably due to the pot metal.

Hi Siggy;

$1,200? I didn't pay that much for my mod 21 Winchester, guess it'd be worth a tad more nowadays tho since they quit makin em.

By Hobby do you mean currently and by IRS criteria?

You are cordially invited to join us in the AZ mountains. We can have a ball defensive, paper, critter or whatever shootin. We have a dark alley with bad guys that charge, Old mineshaft for simulated house clearin and hearing correction, sporting clays with pistol range. Bad guys from 0 to 450yds. Dark or light. Movin targets from ping pong balls to Jap cars. Iffen you get bored on our place we can be at IDPA range in fifteen min or Gun Site in 45. My young Bud n I only been shootin in 15 decades tween us so might have to let one o the kids do the more strenuous stuff.

Haven't bought a new gun since payin $96 for a mod 36 J frame and $150 for mod 19, all the rest O my stuff bought used since then but you can have fun shootin em all, they be well broke in and hand friendly.

Bring money or plastic, we might work up a golf banger, skins game usin J frames. Golf a bit expensive cause we don't own the course and green fees are a tad higher for shooters. Couple ways to play three gun, National Match course or you kin take a walkabout with three guns and see what pops up.

Y'all come, if you win you kin jine us. Since Livermore is not all that close, plan on stayin a while. You will have to get a radiation check and possible decontamination shower. That aint all that bad, we rig up a shower oncet week or so anyhoo. We gots lots o every type o smokeless guns but bring yours, probly bettern ours anyway.

Sam...my favoritist 9mm is the 9x32R

Yep, Shiggy, me too (hic). We'll take shome targetsh out in the (hic) woodsh an you an me'll jusht shtart shoontin. Yesshir, thash right. An whoever (hic) shtandsh up longesht without misshin nuttin winsh.

Ish dat OK?

Siggy,

I'm glad your post brought instant fame, or is it notoriety? I've been shooting for 35 years, but only the last few as a "serious hobby", so this should be no challenge for you. My Smith 627 versus a Glock 23 at 50+ feet.

I think there's some ambiguity in Siggy's message. I read it to mean that he'd outshoot any of you using the same gun you shot. Maybe, maybe not.

But I've got a Kel-Tec P-11 that's very accurate, but damned few people will shoot well with it (unless they're Kel-Tec owners.) Strange, long, double-action only trigger.

Maybe I ought to take him up on his offer, with THAT gun.

If I've read him right, Siggy's probably right in one respect: I shoot a lot of IDPA, and see a lot of folks come in with big-dollar guns who couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a baseball bat. If you're a crappy shot, a $1,700 Wilson doesn't make you a great shot.

But then, maybe I just misread everything.

Ledbetter, you can carpool with Siggy iffen you likes. Give a little warnin so we can get a nuther pig in the freezer and lay in mo cases o spam.
